About Drive Xtras

Who picks the gear, and how every guide is put together.

Hi, I’m the driver behind Drive Xtras

A driver first. A reviewer second.

I have owned five cars, two of them bought used with something already broken. Every one ended up with the same short list of accessories: a mount, a charger, a camera, mats, covers and the emergency kit you hope you never open.

Drive Xtras covers exactly that list: phone mounts, car chargers, dash cams, organizers, seat covers, floor mats, cleaning gear, jump starters and tire inflators. I keep each guide to seven picks, and I note what you need to measure or check before you buy.

Every pick links to a live Amazon US listing that was checked for an in-stock offer. I never write a price in. The product card shows Amazon’s current price, so what you see is what you pay, and if a listing goes away, I replace it.

How I choose

Three rules for every pick

01Fit before featuresEvery guide says what to measure first: vent shape, footwell, seat type, port layout or engine size.
02No colour clonesOne product per family. You will not find the same seat cover in four colours padding out a list.
03Roadside-readyEmergency gear has to work on a cold, dark day. I favour safety features and honest ratings over peak numbers.
